Standard Level is suitable for those with no prior experience, although there is a level of physical intensity involved throughout the three days. This course runs alongside the July Broadsword/Longsword course, with the examinations for both happening on the 27th. Both courses are available to be booked together, reducing the price a little by reducing fees and overheads.
Taught by an Equity Fight Director, and apprentice teachers from the ACTT, this three-day intensive training course is designed with actors and performers in mind; you will learn and develop your ability to learn and perform combat and violent actions safely and effectively.
The knife is a weapon that has been present, in some form, throughout human history and from a broad range of cultures. As relevant to modern age violence as it is to medieval, stone age & fantasy, the use of the knife is a key skill in a performer’s toolkit.
Examined by ACTT; all qualifications earned are Spotlight accredited
Discounts are available at checkout for Sword & Scoundrel members, ACTT members, and Equity members
